
In the words of Ford Archivist Ted Ryan, the Ford Heritage Fleet was assembled “so employees can learn from what we’ve done and enjoy the best of what Ford has done over the years.”
Turns out, interest in the unique collection of 500-plus vehicles extends far beyond the company’s walls.
Kris Van Cleave and the “CBS Saturday Morning” crew delved deep into the vault – part of which is currently on display in the executive parking garage at World Headquarters – to learn more about how the collection of memorable and milestone Ford vehicles came to be.
The six-minute segment includes a drive with Ford Heritage Business Manager Nicholas Terzes, chats with Ryan and Ford UK Public Relations Officer Len Keen, and even a walk-around with Ford President and CEO Jim Farley, whose message to the team nearly two years ago spawned what would become the Ford Heritage Fleet.
