MS Teams offers all the Webex capabilities you’re familiar with — and much more! You can still chat, meet, and share content just as you did before. But now, you’ll have access to even more powerful features to enhance collaboration.

Teams Launches Dec. 16

Starting on December 16, Teams will officially become your primary collaboration tool. Be sure to review the Day One Guide to get up to speed before the launch. Once you’ve installed the app, take some time to explore its rich set of tools. To get started quickly, the guide will help you master the basics of chatting, meeting, and sharing content so you can continue communicating seamlessly with your team. Once you’re comfortable with the fundamentals, you’ll be ready to begin transitioning your spaces and meetings to Teams.

Migrating to Teams: What to Keep and What to Leave Behind

A fresh start with a new tool is a great opportunity to evaluate your Webex chats and spaces. Consider which ones you still need, and which ones you can leave behind. Remember, you don’t have to migrate everything—and you don’t even have to migrate anything at all! The choice is yours. For help, check out the Space Migration Guide for more information on the migration process. However, please note that after January, Webex will be fully retired, including all chats, spaces, data, and attachments. Be sure to think ahead about what you might need.

Feeling Overwhelmed? We’ve got you covered!

We know Teams can feel a bit overwhelming at first. With so many new features and capabilities, it can take time to get comfortable. But the long-term benefits are worth it … streamlining your collaboration and making your work easier.

To help you during the transition, we’ve created a variety of resources, including live training and  previously recorded training sessions, Teams FAQs, hands-on activities for you to try with your team, and a space to post questions. We're also offering early access to Teams before the enterprise launch so you can get ahead of the curve and begin your MS Teams experience today.

Discover the Power of Teams

The best way to see the potential of Teams is to hear from those who’ve already made the switch. Here are a few highlights from employees who participated in the Teams pilot:

  • “I’m loving Teams! The integration with SharePoint and all our other 365 apps has made it our true single hub for the team.”

  • “My favorite feature is the Loop component. It makes co-editing quick paragraphs super easy—no need for a Word document anymore!”

  • “I may have spent a bit too long creating my Avatar, but it was totally worth it! It helps me feel more present in meetings, even when I’m not ‘camera-ready.’”
